1. Beta Feature: Effects Mode
Effects Mode enables real-time video effects, controlled by MIDI CC messages.
What does it do?
Effects Mode allows you to adjust video playback in real time using your MIDI controller or DAW. Currently there are 4 color balance and 4 transformation controls available. More will be added in the future.
How Do I Enable Effects Mode?
Connect your MVP, open your browser and navigate to: mvp.local
Click on the Settings cog in the top right corner, and choose Beta Features.
Click the toggle switch to enable beta features.
Navigate to the Video Configuration page by clicking on Videos.
You will find a new Video Mode dropdown at the top of the page. Choose Effects Mode.
Start a video, and then use the MIDI CCs and notes below.
How do I use it?
Assign your MIDI controller's CC knobs/sliders to the following:
CC 48: Brightness
CC 49: Contrast
CC 50: Hue
CC 51: Saturation
CC 52: Rotation
CC 53: Scale
CC 54: Position X
CC 55: Position Y
Resetting Effects with MIDI Notes
You can quickly reset any effect to its default value by sending a specific MIDI note:
Note 110: Reset all effects to their defaults
Note 111: Reset Brightness
Note 112: Reset Contrast
Note 113: Reset Hue
Note 114: Reset Saturation
Note 115: Reset Rotation
Note 116: Reset Scale
Note 117: Reset Position X
Note 118: Reset Position Y
Default Values
All effects' default CC value is 64 (centered),
except Rotation, who's default CC value is 0 (no rotation).
Notes:
Effects Mode is intended for creative live performance and VJ workflows.
4K video files are not supported.
2. New Dashboard – Real-time Status Info

“Currently Playing” display
Shows the active video and/or lighting clip and playtime at a glance.

Real-time ArtNet viewer
Monitor the currently playing DMX data across all universes and channels.

Real-time Device Status
WiFi and Ethernet connection status and IP details.
HDMI connection status, display name, resolution, and framerate.
Input Monitor: View incoming MIDI notes (channel and device name) and LTC timecode frames.
MVP Version & Update Notification area: See when updates are available.
3. Lighting – Up to 16 Universes
Expanded support for up to 16 universes for recording and playback, perfect for larger-scale shows and more complex lighting setups.
4. Assignable MIDI Channels
Video and Lighting MIDI channels are no longer hardcoded to Channel 1 and Channel 3.
Customize MIDI channel assignments on the Video Configuration and Lighting Configuration pages to fit your setup.
5. “Sync Changes To Playback” Button
Appears on Videos, Lighting, and LTC pages whenever configuration changes are made.
Push it to immediately sync changes to the playback engine for instant setup and testing.
